Privacy policy

1. Scope

This policy explains what Quadradyn LLC (“Quadradyn,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit quadradyn.com or our online store (together, the “Site”) or do business with us, how we use it, who sees it, and the choices you have. Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc. (“Shopify”), whose role is described in Sections 4 and 7. Quadradyn is a United States company; your information is stored and processed in the United States.

2. What we collect

  • What you give us. Your name, email address, optional phone number, the channel you choose, and your message when you contact us; photographs and job details you attach to a Services request; your billing address, shipping address, and receiving dealer when you order; the age and eligibility confirmations you make at checkout; identification you send when we ask for it to verify your age or eligibility; your sign-in details if you create a customer account; and your email address when you register for Intelligence briefings or the Quadradyn Society, or opt in to store emails at checkout.
  • What the Site collects on its own. On quadradyn.com: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps) kept for security and troubleshooting; a temporary session cookie that operates the human-check question on our forms; and a short-lived record of the IP address used to submit a Services request, kept only to limit automated abuse. In our online store: Shopify records your IP address, device and browser type, time zone, the pages and products you view, the site that referred you, and how you move through the store and checkout, using the cookies and similar technologies described in Section 7.
  • What the law requires. For firearm transfers we complete in person at our licensed premises, the government-issued identification and ATF Form 4473 record that federal law requires. For NFA items, the ATF approval documents. Shopify and our payment processor collect the details needed to take your payment; full card numbers never touch Quadradyn’s servers.
  • What we do not do. We do not sell your personal information. quadradyn.com carries no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics, and our online store uses only Shopify’s built-in analytics to measure traffic and sales; neither runs third-party advertising pixels. Page fonts on quadradyn.com are served by Fontshare, which receives your IP address when the font files load.

3. How we use it

To answer your message, prepare a quote, take your payment, fulfill and ship your order, verify your age and eligibility, coordinate the transfer with your dealer, provide warranty and support, send the briefings and store emails you asked for, comply with federal and state firearms, tax, and record-keeping law, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Site working. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

4. Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store, runs checkout, stores our customer and order records on our behalf, and screens orders for fraud. Shopify handles your information under its own privacy policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Other service providers that act for us and only as far as their job requires: our payment processor, shipping carriers, and email delivery. Each operates under its own security program and privacy terms.
  • Your receiving dealer, who gets your name and the order details needed to complete the transfer.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, for example an ATF trace request, a subpoena, or a court order, and to protect the safety of a person or the public.
  • A successor, if Quadradyn or its records are ever sold or transferred, under the same protections.

5. How long we keep it

Messages and quote requests are kept as long as needed to respond and for our business records. Photographs uploaded through the Services forms are deleted from our server after 30 days. Identification you send to verify an online order is kept only as long as needed to complete the verification and to satisfy any record-keeping the law requires. Server logs are rotated routinely. Order, payment, and tax records, including the order records held in our Shopify store, are kept for as long as tax law requires. Firearms acquisition and disposition records and ATF Forms 4473 are kept for as long as federal regulations require licensees to keep them, which is for the life of our license, and are then transferred to the ATF as the law directs.

6. Your choices and rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing our privacy desk at privacy@quadradyn.com. We will verify that the request comes from you and respond within 45 days. We cannot delete records that federal firearms, tax, or anti-fraud law requires us to keep, but we will tell you what remains and why. You may unsubscribe from briefings and store emails at any time using the link in any email or through the privacy desk. If you have a customer account, you can review and update your details by signing in.

Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Virginia, may also have the right to know the categories of personal information we collect and how we use and share them, to opt out of the sale of personal information or its use for targeted advertising, to appeal a decision on a request, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. Use the privacy desk to exercise any other right or to appeal.

7. Cookies

quadradyn.com sets one strictly necessary session cookie, used to operate the human-check question on our forms. It contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.

Our online store, hosted by Shopify, sets cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the store and checkout, for example to remember your cart, keep you signed in, secure your session, and detect fraud, and cookies that report on how the store is used so we can understand traffic and sales. Shopify publishes a current list of these cookies, with their purposes and durations, at shopify.com/legal/cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the forms and checkout may then not work.

8. Security

The Site is served over encrypted connections, access to records is limited to the people who need it, and we collect the minimum an order or a message requires. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment processor’s secure checkout and are never stored by Quadradyn. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure; if you believe your information has been exposed, email privacy@quadradyn.com and we will investigate.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Visitors outside the United States

We sell and ship within the United States only. If you visit the Site from outside the United States, anything you send us is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy law may differ from the law where you live.

11. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy by posting a new version on this page with a new date. The version in force when you place an order governs that order.
